When there’s a spirit of love in a home, you can feel it. It’s in the walls, the scratches on the locks and the way the light falls into the kitchen. Stuart and his wife invited me into their home; the space they share with their five children. This space is school, movie theatre, kitchen full of memories and walls that keep them safe – all bundled into one. I learned of their adventures, their daily home schooling routine, and the sacrifices they’ve made to keep their family happy.

When Stuart speaks about his children, there’s a glint in his eye – it’s quiet, but excited to tell you more. He tells me about the personalities of each of the five children, recounting all of their characteristics the way a doctor explains a complicated procedure. It’s detailed, it’s sure, and it’s definite. At the end, it felt like we’d been friends for the longest of times, and I’m happy I get to say I know this blessed family.
